Lotus Esprit GT3.
The “ClubSport” of the Esprit era. 150kg less than the V8s it shared the production line with. 2 litres, a supercharger and a turbo meant this Esprit has 240BHP (179kw) making it faster than a V8 on country roads.
This particular Esprit has the Modern Lotus designed suspension, referred to as LOTAC. Lotus created new springs & dampers for each model retaining the ‘feel’ of each model, but improving the ride & handling using modern technology. Lotus is the leading company in Ride & Handling and have decades of experience in setting up road and track cars. This Esprit is pin sharp, handling better than new, as every component of the suspension has been updated upgraded or replaced.
1 of 2 in Ruby Red. Optional V8 “Comfort Seats” and AirConditioning.
Late GT3 with the domed binnacle. All areas are as it left the factory, it even has the under-trays in place front and rear. The Interior has been refinished so it looks perfect. 2.5″ exhaust fitted which sounds amazing, find a route with tunnels to enjoy.
Alpine Bluetooth and hands free. iPod and USB cabling.
3000 miles on Lotus supplied LOTAC Bilstein dampers, LOTAC Eibach springs and full set of LOTAC bushes front and rear, including the ones usually skipped because you need to remove an engine mount, all new fasteners , upper and lower balljoints. Full Geometry carried out by Bell & Colvill.
Other recent work includes; aluminium tank, output seals and gaiters, new oil pipes (front to back) & radiators, power steering pipes (front to back, including all fittings, rub nuts, bolts etc), disks and pads, clutch, weather seals to door glass, including channel, internal brush, external seals and door jamb rubbers, refurbished door cards, pedal rubbers, windscreen surround, wheel refurb, new gas struts.
Has a full service history from new with Bell&Colvill or GST stamps present for every interval and annual service in original Lotus green handbook. Large History folder, old MOTs, documenting and verifying a lifetime of pampering but regular use. Last service in January ’23 included all fluids and belts (£1,308) so your next big service is at least two years away. MOT from January. Originally sold by Guy Mundy at SGT, again by Guy in 2015 which is when I took ownership.

Described by Bell & Colvill as one of the best they have seen.
This Esprit is totally reliable, it has never let me down. I have used it regularly (it was my daily commuter for a few years) and done a few road trips the length of the UK.
Every niggle or note from services or MOT have all been addressed regardless of cost. A beautiful car wanting for nothing other than more driving.
If you are a lotus enthusiast I am open to offers.
Reason for sale: Medical condition means I need an Automatic.
