Although the side decals are missing the paintwork is largely believed to be original. It has some micro blistering, cracking and fading, but is generally presentable.
It has Dellorto carbs and being a Sprint has the big valve engine.

Our project cars do not come with a warranty as they are bought on the basis work is required. Although we do our best to identify and accurately describe any faults, a prospective purchaser must accept other faults may exist and will only come to light once renovation work has started. We always advise a purchaser views a project in person to ensure they are comfortable with the level of work likely to be needed.
This genuine Elan Sprint is ideal for the home mechanic as the work required is fairly straightforward – see ‘More Details’ section below. Alternatively, we can carry out the work needed to get the car to our normal showroom condition and the price would then increase to £32,750. At this price, and once the work is done, the car would come supplied with our normal warranty.
This Elan has now been inspected in our workshops and requires the following attention to bring it up to a good useable standard.
N/s Sidelight hanging out of body, needs refitting
Front indicator lenses cracked
Washers not working
Hood does not fit – requires new hood
Although tyres are relatively recent they have flat spotted
There is no coolant in the engine, just water, flush and refill required
Normal oil leaks on engine. Compressions are good and runs well
Front brake hose and o/s/r brake hose ferrels very rusty
Main silencer box, completely split down seam on road test (this will be replaced even if sold as a project)
Rear roto flex rubbers are starting to split/crack
Rear shockers loose and have evidence of leaking
Driver’s seat will not slide, needs removal and free off
Heater fan not working
Horn not working
Clutch pedal rubber missing
Hammer missing from tool kit
Clutch has high bite and is slipping, needs a clutch assembly
Replacement wooden dashboard supplied with the car
