Evora S special. Lotus first production S and Paris launch car. LHD
Engine
Lotus motorsport 400 development engine as fitted to some GTE production cars, and the Evora 400 development program. This engine had been unfitted until installed in my car.
Swindon advised Lotus to not run above 410 for road use with this development and Lotus wanted more so eventually went to a new Eaton supercharger for the Evora 400. The GTE production cars had a mix of this engine and a more powerful Swindon engine.
Engine has Swindon cams and slippers internally. Swindon air box , uprated fuel pump and Lotus motorsport ecu map.
Exhaust
Larini had my car in and used it to develop their Evora exhaust which this car now has.
Gearbox/Diff
The flywheel and clutch are from the 400 and it has the 400 lsd fitted. All cables are the later Evora s1 cables.
Suspension
This car has the Evora GT 410 sport suspension – Bilstein F=525 R=675
Brakes
The rear disks are grooved lightweight bells. All pads are ds 2500. Brake fluid is Motul RBF.
Interior
This car was a development car and show car for the launch of the Evora S. It was the launch car first shown at the Paris motor show and has a carbon and suede interior. The seats are a custom trim design for this Evora. This car was the first Evora S off the production line.
I had a self-dipping rear mirror fitted.
The in car entertainment is the Pioneer head unit with apple car play and Android auto. For connection to your phone or ipad– music, navigation etc.
The speaker system is Morel loudspeakers, bass unit and separate amplifier. All speakers were repacked with sound insulation. All fitted by an in car HiFi specialist.
Exterior
I had the car repainted when I bought it from Lotus directly. It is a Ferrari colour – Grigio Scura with the roof in Lotus Starlight black. I have had fitted the Lotus Carbon fibre tailgate to improve cooling with the uprated engine.
Service history.
The car has been serviced in the UK by Lotus specialist ES Motorsports.
Fluids have been changed regularly as have brake pads and arb bushes. All fluids are Motul race fluids- Gearbox, Engine and Hydraulics.
Gearbox cables are checked, oiled, and adjusted regularly.
Handbrake shoes have been changed and cables adjusted.
Disks have been replaced, fronts are standard, and rears are lightweight grooved bells.
Tyres have just 600 miles on them and are road Michelin Pilot Sports
