I am very very sad to have to put this car up for sale, but I just don`t have the time to get it sorted, so it is time to pass it along to someone who can really appreciate it and get it into tip top condition!

It`s a great looking car, very striking in white with the red interior..  even has some period stickers on the outside. The interior is in really nice condition overall, with a few scuffs and some small bits that need tidying up, but as you can see from the pictures, its VERY COOL ;)

The exterior paint is good and polishes up well, but there are some scratches, pits and chips as can be expected from a 45 year old car.

I swapped the hubs for 521> hubs and fitted lotus alloys.

Recently replaced the rear brake cylinders and new rear brake lines.

In the time I`ve had it, it`s had new rear suspension pivot bolts, bearings, reconditioned axles, rear wheel bearings, some bushes, ball joints, trunnions.

A new RH front suspension spring as the one there had snapped, but I never got around to doing the other side, the other spring is in the boot.

New water pump just fitted.

New carpets, and numerous other small bits and pieces.

Its done very few miles since those things.

The chassis is good as far as I can see, though the front drivers side outrigger is perforated on the plate parts.

It also comes with a set of electric pop up headlights to do the conversion which I never got around to.

the bad bits –

The heater core is bypassed because it leaks.

The main problem with this car is that it doesn`t run very well. it idles ok, but off idle it bogs and stutters and lacks power. I increased the idle jet size which helped somewhat, It may just need further tuning.

The engine smokes for a bit after sitting for long periods but is fine when used.

The handbrake doesn`t stay adjusted, it does engage when you adjust it, but stops working after a couple of uses. This could just be a simple fix like the adjusters on the wrong side.

The vacuum headlights don`t stay closed, they pop up over about 10 hours or so   (hence the electric kit to fit).

The oil drain plug is rounded, I was going to do an oil change but couldn`t get the drain plug out –  so it will need to be “modified” to get off (maybe a slot cut in it, or ground square so it can be removed.

I would also advise that it will need the cambelt doing.

a trailer is recommended to pick this up as it has poor power off idle when on the move, and the handbrake doesn`t work. if you are brave, and don`t live too far you might be able to drive it home.. but probably best to get a trailer. 🙂

Overall a nice project for someone who has the time.
