PAYMENTS

We accept:

  • UK (£) Sterling Cheques and Postal Orders. We normally wait for cheques to clear so please bear that in mind if your order is urgent.
  • Credit and debit cards.
  • Pay Pay payments
  • Google Checkout payments
  • Bank transfer in UK (£) Sterling direct to our business account at Natwest UK. Details on request.

VAT (Valued Added Tax)

All prices shown on our site are inclusive of taxes where applicable at the prevailing rate.

DELIVERY

We normally despatch your items within 14 days of receiving your cleared payment Monday – Friday, more commonly within 7 days, but please allow up to 28 days due to stock fluctuations. Orders received on a Saturday, Sunday or Bank Holiday will not be processed until the next working day. However, our fully automated system will reserve your items for you and will despatch an order confirmation to you so you know we have received it.

DELIVERY TIMES

We use Royal Mail for the majority of orders under 2kgs. First class deliveries normally take two to three days within the UK. Airmail deliveries within mainland Europe normally take three to seven days Please note that airmail deliveries outside the UK may take in excess of seven days. Please allow up to 28 working days for delivery to places off the beaten track. If you have been notified that your item has been shipped and you do not receive your order within the specified time frame please contact us as quickly as possible.

CUSTOMS

All items are shipped from within the UK. Our strict policy is to truthfully complete the customs declaration where appropriate. This means we will always declare the true value of the goods you have purchased. This may mean that you are liable to customs duty or charges upon delivery in your country. If you are unsure of the customs rules and regulations where you live then please contact your local customs office before placing your order.

RETURNS

Please check your order immediately on arrival. We carefully package items for sending and always retain proof of posting. If there are any problems with your order then please use the ‘contact us’ form to get in touch. Please always quote your order number so we can quickly resolve the problem. These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights. Your right to return goods is protected under the EU Distance Selling Directive which can be found at http://www.hmso.gov.uk/si/si2000/20002334.htm

CONTRACT

When an automated confirmation of order is sent to you, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.

The Lotus Forums Shop is available worldwide for all Lotus Cars enthusiasts and owners.

(although we do operate outside of these hours on occasion;  we cannot guarantee we will be able to process your order/credit card, answer phone calls, reply to emails etc immediately)

Our shop began trading in mid-2009 after more and more suppliers approached us as an outlet for their goods and merchandise and it’s been a great success since. We are the first ever web-based ‘club’ to offer for sale official Lotus merchandise and maintain very close relationships with the factory in Hethel. 

Pretty much most of the items we sell we in fact own ourselves or would like to own and they’re aimed at making owning your car or being an enthusiast that much easier or more fun and practical.

We are available during normal office hours and on occassion outside but please bear with us during busy times and over public holidays. We are happy to hear from you and will help with all queries where we can. We’re particularly commited to offering a fair shopping experience so if you think that our prices, especially shipping costs are not correct please contact us and we’ll do what we can to offer a very competitive rate. Working out shipping automatically on combinations or items, particularly if some of them are large is very complex and our shop tries it’s best but isn’t perfect. Contact us and we’ll make sure we offer you an economical shipping cost.

We only use the information that we collect about you lawfully (in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998). Neither your email address nor your personal details will ever be passed on to any other company except in direct connection with your order.

Information about you is collected for two main reasons: Firstly to process your order, and secondly to provide you with the best possible service. Your email address is needed to inform you about the progress of your order and your phone number is used in case the courier is having problems delivering or contacting you.

You can check the information that we hold about you by emailing us (see ‘contact us’). If you find any inaccuracies we will delete or correct it promptly. The personal information which we hold will be held securely in accordance with our internal security policy and the law. Any printed details of confidential information are securely destroyed on a monthly basis.

We use technology on this website, known as “cookies”, to track what you are ordering on the site. This is purely to help you receive a better service from us. What is SSL?

Loyalty Points

At The Lotus Forums Shop you can earn loyalty points every time you make a purchase.

For each £1 you spend you earn 1 point. Each point is worth 2p and can be used towards future purchases. So, if you have 100 points then you get £2.00 OFF.

You can monitor your points total in your account section.

Terms & Conditions

  1. The Lotus Forums Shop reserves the right, at any time without notice, to: (a) terminate the scheme; (b) decline to issue loyalty points; and (c) on reasonable grounds, withdraw or cancel loyalty points, or to alter or amend the conditions of operation of the TLF Shop loyalty points scheme. Reasonable grounds include (i) any abuse or attempted abuse of the scheme, or (ii) any use or attempted use of a loyalty points in a manner which is contrary to these terms and conditions or (iii) any reasonable suspicion of dishonesty on the part of a member in connection with the scheme.
  2. Points are not transferable, and can only be used by the person whose name is linked to the account.
  3. Your loyalty points can only be used at this e-commerce shop and are valid for 12 months from the date they were allocated to your account.
  4. Our loyalty points scheme is only for personal and consumer use. Our points cannot be transferred, sold or in any way traded.
  5. Certain products may be excluded from the scheme at the our discretion. 
  6. 1 point will be awarded for every £1 that is spent where 1 point is equal to £0.02p. This can be altered at the our discretion. Points awarded will be calculated on the selling price and rounded down to the nearest pound.
  7. The Lotus Forums Shop shall be entitled at any time to cancel points awarded if the relevant products to which such award relates are returned or cancelled for any reason and a refund / credit of the purchase price is given or if the relevant products are exchanged for other products, unless such exchange is for products with an equivalent points value. Where the relevant products are exchanged for products of a lower points value we shall be entitled to cancel the balance of points between those originally collected and those collected in respect of the replacement products.
  8. Where points are redeemed, further loyalty points will only be awarded on the remaining balance once the redeemed points have been deducted. Points cannot be redeemed in conjunction with any other voucher or discount code.
  9. The current redemption value of points is one point equals two pence. The Lotus Forums Shop reserves the right to vary the rate at any time.
  10. If returning goods where loyalty points were used as part or full payment, points and not cash will be credited back onto the account. Any balance that was paid using credit card will be subject to our standard returns.
  11. Any points earned do not have a cash value, they are a mechanism for calculating loyalty based discounts on future purchases only. They do not constitute a form of payment.
